MASLOW — BOILERPLATE & KEY FACTS For media use. Australian English. Updated 3 August 2026. The boilerplate and quotes below may be reproduced verbatim. ONE LINE ———————— Maslow is building the shared digital infrastructure for the cooperative economy. SHORT (≈115 words) —————————————————— Maslow is a software and systems company building shared digital infrastructure for member-owned financial institutions — credit unions, cooperatives, and mutuals — worldwide. Rather than competing with these institutions, Maslow connects them, providing the shared technology, coordination standards, and governance that no single institution can build alone. The two roles in the work are deliberately separated: Maslow Holdings Pty Ltd is the current commercial builder and operator; HAPPI is the intended enduring stewardship and people's-commons architecture for the shared connective infrastructure — designed so the network cannot be captured or sold out from under its members. The HAPPI Foundation does not yet legally exist. Returns to investors are bounded by design — investors underwrite the build, not the perpetual operation. EXTENDED (≈300 words) —————————————————————— Finance shapes how societies function at every level — who gets capital, who keeps it, where it flows, and who benefits. At least 178,555 member-owned financial institutions — credit unions, cooperatives, and mutuals — serve at least 508.7 million members and hold at least US$11.30 trillion in assets across 109 countries and jurisdictions, structurally designed to keep capital in the communities it comes from. They represent a substantial existing body of financial infrastructure structurally organised around member and community benefit — built to build wealth for communities rather than from them. They already possess extraordinary distributed strength, but remain fragmented across jurisdictions, technology systems, vendors and institutional networks. That is what Maslow builds: infrastructure, not products. A shared interface institutions can deploy without dismantling what they have; interoperability standards so they can plug in without bespoke integration; shared financial utilities — pooled liquidity, shared risk frameworks, and capital products beyond any single institution's reach; and a governance architecture that keeps power distributed and prevents capture by any one actor. The work runs through two roles, built in parallel: Maslow, the current commercial builder and operator — constitution-governed and covenant-aligned — and HAPPI, the intended covenant-governed stewardship and people's-commons architecture. The HAPPI Foundation does not yet legally exist, and the HAPPI Covenant does not directly bind Maslow. Participating institutions retain their licences, their boards, and their community relationships. Maslow's Constitution establishes a capped-equity architecture: when a share parcel reaches its applicable cap, it transfers for nominal consideration to the existing Customer Trust or another permitted Customers Vehicle. The intended end-state is for the HAPPI Foundation, once legally established and operationally capable, to own or control that post-cap equity — no automatic present dissolution or universal transfer is represented. Maslow has already built the operating foundations required to execute the next phase: four proprietary operating applications, a unified internal operating environment, investor and registry infrastructure, institutional intelligence, a production HAPPI Atlas foundation and controlled governance, security and evidence systems. The next step is commercial validation and co-definition of the institution-facing MVP with the inaugural cohort. QUOTES FOR USE (attributed to Kane Jackson, Co-Founder & CEO) —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— "Extracting from communities has ruined the world. Wealth, resources, and decisions have been stripped from the places that need them by mega corporations and billionaires who decide our fate without experiencing it. It's made life hard for most, less hopeful for many, and what's left is dividing us all. "The solution to that extraction is cooperation, which division makes impossible to build. Luckily, we don't have to build it. It already exists, in the biggest unconnected system on earth: more than 178,000 community-owned financial institutions serving 500 million members — part of a wider cooperative economy of some three million cooperatives — each keeping wealth where it's made, serving the people and places that depend on it — circulating it, improving with it, and using it to enhance life. Maslow exists to connect that system, and put it at the heart of our society — to put community, and life, at the heart of the global economy." For technology and business press: "Enshittification is what happens when users don't own anything. The future isn't a better platform — it's community ownership, community decisions, and community governance. The technology is the easy part."
